Cliffs first introduction into the dance music scene was a Co-Production of a novelty hardcore track, which gained extensive radio play on, Radio 1, MTV, & Kiss FM along with record of the week on Radio Scotland and notably reached number 5 in the DJ mag chart at the time. Selling over 10,000 copies independently. He also received firm support from Collin Dale during this period who was one of the main innovators of the techno scene. Cliff then went on to experiment with various styles of music including Techno, Trance and progressive house. He went onto work with React Records in the early 90′s working on compilation albums.
He went on to release further tracks under the name Alchemy, producing many white lables and dub plates which picked up support from various big names in the scene at the time. Spending a great deal of time with the legendary Sasha in the early Renaissance days were another major learning curve. He still considers Sasha to be one of the greatest producers in the dance industry.Since being in Samui his initial ventures included Black Moon after parties, private villa and boat parties before moving on to promoting his own events at lakeview, home of the legendary Black Moon Party. Working closely in conjunction with Supermodified (Asia’s biggest tour agency) ventures have included events such as Sander Kleinenberg, Slipmatt, Brandon Block and Privilege (the biggest club in the world) not to mention co-promotion of two Song Kran Dance music festivals, A Dance for Haiti charity event, which attracted nearly 3000 people and raised 1,500,000 bath, with all proceeds going to victims of the earthquake. It was this event that gave him the greatest satisfaction.
Another charity event with Leeroy Thornhill (The Prodigy) at Soundclub in aid of the Japan & Thai earthquake disasters. In addition to top international DJ’s such as Nic Fanciulli & Marco Bailey the list is endless.
