Since the early 90’s Ron Kushty has existed under many guises. To him a change of name provides a whole new mask in which to summon creative elements to his productions. It all started in 1992 as a member of the Kniteforce crew he was responsible for the release of various hardcore classics from the early happy era sound.
His Kniteforce membership taught him all the tricks of the production trade at an early age and after only a short time Ron was going solo producing for various major hardcore labels.
In the Mid 90′s he was a member of the underground garage production team The Anthill Mob responsible for classic garage anthems like « Was She Ever Mine! Many of which remain classic garage anthems. The likes of these productions earned him various DJ slots at Clubs across London and the surrounding counties including a weekly residency at heavens next Door neighbor the Soundshaft.
After becoming disillusioned with the direction the UK Garage scene was heading in towards the later part of the 90’s.,he sought a fresher sound which provided more energy on the dancefloor. Before long he fell in love with the new hard dance sound that was emerging from labels such as Tidy Trax and Nukleuz.
After producing his first Hard Dance track under his real name, Ashley Sinclair his talents were quickly noticed by Ed Jenkins (Owner of Track It Down) who was then the main man at Nukleuz. Ed had no hesitation in signing up his talents. to the Nukluez imprint, which led to many releases including the remix of Vinylgroover and Redhead’s Kokane which became a classic hard dance anthem.
A center page article in DJ mag and record of the week on Dave Pearce’s radio 1 show, soon followed. Later work for Nukleuz saw Ashley earn a top 20 in the UK Charts with the Nukleuz DJ Bootleg Edition release. In betwteen his production work Ashley enjoyed a 2 season long residency at Unity the biggest club in Corfu.
